Pocoyo Season 4 has been a great success on YouTube

The most recent season of Pocoyo, which was released on November 25th, 2016 and has been exclusively broadcast on YouTube, has had a resounding success.

The most recent season of Pocoyo, which was released on November 25th, 2016 and has been exclusively broadcast on YouTube, has had a resounding success.

In its first 15 episodes and two specials (the season consists of 26 episodes), the views have surpassed the expectations of both Zinkia and YouTube. The most viewed video of the new season (click to see it) has already reached more than 10 million views in just 5 months.

Pocoyo Season 4 that is available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and Castillian Spanish, has achieved more than 200 million views worldwide and more than 900 million minutes have been visualized.

Zinkia has been working for the past 14 months in order to produce the new season with more than 50 professionals, including five American scriptwriters specialized in Children’s content.

The new episodes maintain the characteristic and unique visual language the series is known for. Pocoyo remains loyal to his values of respect, tolerance and friendship.

The episodes reveal a wide variety of stories aimed at kids from 0 to 6, following Zinkia’s plan to increase the core target.

Dogs Can Fly and Zinkia sign a new Licensing & Merchandising agency Agreement in Brazil.

Zinkia’s commitment to international markets is firm. For that reason a Master Agents agreement with the Brazilian company Dogs Can Fly Licensing has been signed, making them the official Licensing & Merchandising agent in Brazil.

Zinkia’s commitment to international markets is firm. Brazil, where Pocoyo has an outstanding track record, is one of the key territories targeted for international expansion and for this reason, a Master Agents agreement with the Brazilian company Dogs Can Fly Licensing has been signed, making them the official Licensing & Merchandising agent in the country.

The agreement includes the exclusive management of consumer products rights in the categories of toys, textiles, publishing, childcare, Meet & Greet, etc … In addition, Dogs Can Fly Licensing will be responsible for the management of advertising and promotional activities based on the series.

As a result of this alliance, on the 29 and 30th of August, Dogs Can Fly Licensing attended the Expo Licensing Brazil Fair, one of the biggest events in the international licensing sector, representing Zinkia. The fair is attended by more than 800 brands and prominent representatives in the industry such as Hasbro, Mattel, Disney, Warner Bros and Universal amongst others.

At the fair, the company announced its projects for the Brazilian market, which has become one of the territories that generates the most growth for Pocoyo  on YouTube with 1.18 million followers, Brazil has registered the largest number of subscribers in the official Pocoyo channels and has already surpassed 1 billion views.

This is one of the reasons why Brazil is a determining market in the development plan of the Pocoyo brand at an international level. A plan that will be reinforced in the coming months by Zinkia, after formalizing on August 8th, a capital increase of 4,05 million euros.

The market momentum in the area of Licensing & Merchandising, which has developed over 15,000 product references to date, is one of the strategic objectives within this plan; as well as the diversification of the audiovisual catalog, through the development, production and exploitation of other brands owned by the company.

Enemies or allies? There’s no doubt that mobile applications used correctly can stimulate child development. During the holidays, they are a good alternative foment some of the skills and abilities that are key in childrens  growth milestones.

The expert team at Zinkias edutainment department, has identified key childrens  capabilities that we can improve with the use of specific apps for kids.

  1. Looking to expand the presence of its popular Pocoyo brand in the Japanese market, Zinkia has sewn up a master agent deal with Japanese media and marketing company Aqui Media.

Looking to expand the presence of its popular Pocoyo brand in the Japanese market, Zinkia has closed a master agent deal with Japanese media and marketing company Aqui Media, founded by the spaniard Jesús Perezagua.

As a result of the deal, Japanese audiences will gain access to Pocoyo’s first three seasons through platforms managed by Aqui Media, including linear TV and streaming subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) app for mobile devices.

The alliance also includes the exclusive management of licensing rights across a wide variety of categories such as toys, publishing and apparel. Aqui Media will also be responsible for carrying out local promotions, meet- and- greets, advertising and live show events of Pocoyo.

The deal is part of Zinkia’s strategy to achieve a global repositioning of Pocoyo which includes activity in 12 key territories, including Japan.

After the success of the videoclips “El cumple de Pocoyo” (Pocoyo’s birthday), “Un chef genial”( a great chef) and “El reggaetón de los animales” (animal reggaeton)  that have accumulated along with their respective trailers more than 22 million views on YouTube, “El Mensaje de Nina” (A message from Nina) has arrived!  – the new song from Conecta Kids with Pocoyo and his friends. The millions of Pocoyo fans are in luck because this new song is dedicated to Nina, the series new character who joins the adventures of Pocoyo. Nina comes from a microscopic world from which she can enter and leave at will and has the capacity to increase and decrease her size. She is funny, she dresses in green and speaks her own language although it is not a problem for her to communicate with others. Nina is clever, uninhibited and is always followed by her pet, Roberto, the robot.

As in the previous videos, for the first time Pocoyo and his friends interact with real life characters in a videoclip.

Conecta Kids and Pocoyo have had several previous collaborations. Pocoyo starred in the videoclips of the songs “Conéctate al verano en Clan” (connect with summer on Clan) and “Halloween”, which have accumulated 32 million views on YouTube and at the time, were among the 10 most viewed music videos on Youtube in Spain in 2015.

Conecta Kids are currently on tour celebrating Pocoyo’s Birthday in which they sing all their hits with the participation of Pocoyo and his friends in a great show to enjoy with the entire family. Pocoyo is on tour in Portugal with two live shows, the Panda Festival and Heróis da TV, which will take place during the months of June and July, and throughout 2017 respectively.

In this new edition, the Panda festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary with the presence of the most beloved characters of the Panda channel on stage, amongst which is Pocoyo.

Zinkia will produce a new season of Pocoyo

Last June 13th, Zinkia approved at its Extraordinary General Shareholders’ meeting, with 97% of the votes in favor, an increase in the company’s capital stock through monetary contributions and share premiums the amount of 4.053,674 euros.

Last June 13th, Zinkia approved at its Extraordinary General Shareholders’ meeting, with 97% of the votes in favor, an increase in the company’s capital stock through monetary contributions and share premiums the amount of 4.053,674 euros.

These funds will be largely designated to the investment in new Pocoyo content, among them being a new season of the series that will begin production before the end of 2017.

These additional financial resources will also be used to implement a renewed strategic growth plan for the next five years, in addition to honoring future financial commitments.

The strategic plan includes various elements aimed at further encouraging the development of Licensing & Merchandising, which has developed 15.000 product references to date. Moreover, the company aims to diversify the possibilities of the content catalogue, proposes new development, production and exploitation of the other company brands, which will expand Zinkia’s core target.

The strategy will be focused primarily on the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Australia, China and Japan.  In total 12 countries that have a combined potential audience of 2.548 million people and represent 90% of the global licensing sector.
